Yes, every property has safe, fast, and secure WiFi.

The Homestead Properties offer American, English, and International TV viewing, international satellite programming in English, German, and Spanish.

The Homestead Hotel & Properties provide free of charge local calling in Germany and long distance calling to the Continental USA.

Depending upon the location and guests’ needs, maid service is provided 2-5 times per week. Saturdays and Sundays are self-catering.

Yes, all bedding, towels, and toiletries are included.

Yes, all apartments have full kitchens. Full Kitchens have small and large appliances, cutlery and dishes, cooking pots and pans, everything to settle into your temporary apartment.

We provide coffee, teas, sugar, salt and pepper.

No, however, the kitchen area is self-catering. Guests should wash dishes, and clean the kitchen area.

An additional pet cleaning fee of 100 Euros + 7% Tax is charged and is non-refundable in pet-friendly apts.

Yes, all apartments have their own private washer and dryer. The main building, Suites 1-5, in Grafenwoehr has a shared large complimentary laundry room. An additional large complimentary laundry room is available in our new building also.

No, summers here in Germany are mostly moderate, and the evenings are cool. Fans are available.

No, all areas of The Homestead Hotel & Properties are non-smoking. Designated exterior smoking areas are available, and a few apartments have extra large balcony areas to allow smoking. Please inquire!

Yes, with advanced notice prior to arrival pack and plays are available. Upon initial inquiry, please communicate needs, and ages of children. We have many types of bedding options for toddlers and children.

Yes, certain apartments are pet friendly. Prior approval is required. Please review the pet policy requirements here:

PET POLICY: The Homestead offers a limited number of pet-friendly rooms. The number of pets is restricted to a maximum of 2 small dogs per pet approved apartment, each under 20 pounds approximately. Certain breeds are additionally restricted.  A maximum of 1-2 cats may be approved. All pets must be kenneled if left unsupervised by an adult at any time. Disruptive or destructive behavior from pets will result in immediate cancellation of lodging.

Rates & Logistics

Nightly single occupancy in any one of The Homestead Hotel & Properties is 160 - 175 Euro + 7% Tax, and based upon availability. All rates are within Government, TLA, and Per Diem requirements. Add an additional 40 Euros nightly per additional family member or child.

Please contact us via email for availability, rates and further information after you have carefully reviewed the Reservations and FAQ pages. Fill out the guest request form with as much information as possible. Please be specific regarding your needs, i.e., dates, number of adults, number and ages of children, pets, and any other needs. Military personnel and families are required by the military to secure a Certificate of Non-Availability (CNA) from the Grafenwoehr Military Lodge in order to stay in an off-base hotel. Please send us an electronic copy or photo shot of the CNA. Civilian guests are not required to secure a CNA.

Complete the guest request form; provide CNA if military, and provide valid credit card information. Upon receiving all, we will issue a firm confirmation, confirmation number, and complete details of your reserved apartment, check-in information, etc.

Please contact us immediately if your dates change so that we can re-book your dates, cancel, or offer the apartment to another guest on our wait-list.  If you must change your date of arrival, availability cannot be guaranteed. No shows are charged for the first-two nights as confirmed. Communication with The Homestead is very important. Valid credit card information is required.

During peak-season, some apartments and dates are non-refundable, and the total amount of the confirmed dates are required at time of confirmation. Be certain of your dates.

Yes, The Homestead is primarily extended-stay lodging. There is a 3-night minimum stay-policy.

The number of nights for extended stay guests, Military and Civilian, depends upon availability. Extended Stay Guests, those with an indefinite date of check-out are confirmed for a maximum of 10 nights if available and based upon receipt of and number of nights verified on a certificate of non-availability, (CNA), a maximum of 10 nights per any CNA if issued from the military lodge. After the maximum of 10 nights, availability is determined on a night-to-night basis. Military and Civilians will be notified if continued availability is not possible and provided a 48 Hour Notification of Check-Out. Please communicate clearly lodging dates and when departure will take place as soon as possible. We are happy to extend your stay if there is availability. Extensions are not always possible, 

No, however, valid credit card information is required prior to a firm confirmation being issued. Please review the policies and cancellations overview.

Guests who stay for less than 10 nights will be charged prior to departure. Guest who stay in excess of 10 nights will be charged every 10 nights. Please communicate your billing and invoicing needs.Use of VAT Forms must be communicated prior to charges.

Nightly rates are all within Government TLA, TQSA, and Per Diem. When staying in an off-post hotel, guests pay the hotel directly and then file their paid invoices with their finance office to be reimbursed. It is the guests’ responsibility to timely file their invoices with their finance office for reimbursement.

Typically check-in is at noon and also check-out. Earlier check-in is possible if communicated 24 hours in advance, also late 1400 check-out is available if communicated 24 hours in advance also. Early arrival and late departure is not always possible because of high lodging demands.  During peak-season, an early check-out at 0800 may be necessary.

Yes, given The Homestead’s excellent reputation and superior accommodations, we often maintain a wait-list. Travel plans do change, so please check with us on availability, even at the last minute.

Yes, we happily accept VAT form, and they must be provided and communicated prior to charges. After an invoice is processed, the VAT cannot be refunded.

Upon arrival, guests are required to complete the guest registration form. Prior to departure, your credit card will be processed. The invoices will be processed, stamped-paid-in-full, scanned, and sent to you as a secure PDF for your records, and for easy filing with your finance office.
